Well, I guess Spring’s here. It’s been here to be exact. The weather in Washington has really shifted over the years. Not complaining though! Even the flowers at the Tulip Festival have bloomed early.
I recently just started on my re-start of B-school! I’m super excited. Marie Forleo is the expert on crafting a business and life that you love. This will be my second run through B-School and will be focusing on a slightly different trajectory than what was planned last year. Stay tuned for that!
One of the first things that we go over in B-school is to get crystal clear on what you want and why you’re doing it.
That is what’s at the core of everything; your business, your happiness, and your success.
So it’s a great time to stop and think it all over again. Make sure you know exactly what you’re going for.
Having solid core values at the heart of your business is imperative to it’s success. If you have the wrong core values to start off with, every subsequent action that stems from that puts you further in the wrong direction. Thus making it even harder to achieve your goals!
Today I confirmed a few things within my own business:
1. I want to use my business as a force for good and a vehicle for change.
2. I want to continue to create art. And travel.
Everything I do hereonout is in service to those core values. Ya dig?
Do you have clarity in what you want out of life? If you need a push in the right direction, watch this AMAZING Ted Talk by Simon Sinek about “How Great Leaders Inspire Action”. You will not regret this.
One quote that I still live by is one by him, “People don’t buy what you do. They buy why you do it.”
You’ll start to notice the benefits of understanding the root of it all.
I strongly believe that it should start with entrepreneurship. And truly understanding what that means and what it can do for you and for others.
People nowadays are a lot more likely to support a person or company that is more socially conscious. Especially the younger generations.
And if you’re still not sure, that’s okay! You don’t have to know right away. But it’s good to get the wheels spinning and start the process anyways. Cause if we’re being real here, are we ever really ready for anything? No, not really.
There is no greater purpose to serve then the one you were meant to do in this world.
So get to stepping.
Until next time,
P.S. Check out these cool free stock photo's with Vince Vaughn and Dave Franco up for grabs here in promotion for their newest film, Unfinished Business. So here I am. Posting one on my bloggity blog.
