It’s felt like such an off week.
One day I attempted to get to work later than usual and got there on time.
Another day I tried to get to work on time and ended up late.
Then I got into a minor car accident yesterday while leaving work.
And than we were faced with the tragic events taking place all over the world yesterday.
Earthquakes in Japan and Mexico, bombings in Beirut and Baghdad, and the terrorist attacks in Paris.
It hurts to see the world in such turmoil.
And it’s tough to see the world in a state of crisis and feel so powerless. Like something much bigger than ourselves is in control and we are forced to ride it out.
This is one thing that truly scares me, when the unknown could hold pain or danger towards humanity.
So I’m going to keep this short and sweet today.
While we may not always be able to physically lend a hand or make a big change right away, we can take the time to practice gratitude towards the blessings in our lives. And to enforce the ideals of caring for each other.
And to remember that we are all human beings. We all have hopes and dreams. Fears. Goals. We are all somebody’s kid. We’ve all experienced tough times and painful moments. It all resonates in one way or another.
Strive to be kind to others and yourself.
You never know when it could all change.
Live a life that’s driven by love and not led by fear. Fear of uncertainty, fear of disaster, fear of pain.
