Is anyone else already obsessed with the new Adele song? (It’s called “Hello” in case you weren’t.) I listened to it 3 times on my way home from the pumpkin patch today.
The biggest reason why Adele’s music really resonates with me is that it’s relatable. I’ve experienced many of the things that she’s singing about. And it hurts. A lot.
Sorry. It’s going to get a little personal today.
That’s one thing in life that’s never easy to deal with but it’s so necessary.
One universal thing that we all experience is pain. It comes in different forms and at various times in random amounts. It’s unavoidable and hard to get through. Well, if we’re being real here, it’s one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to get through.
It’s tough. And letting go of someone you love is the hardest. It’s literally one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do.
It’s no wonder countless people write songs about it, make art about it, study it, write stories about it, make drastic life changes for it, die for it, kill for it, etc.
It gets pretty extreme. And hard to manage once you’re swept up in it.
After trudging through those hard times and coming out on the other end, I’ve found a new appreciation for love and the immense, crazy, encompassing things that come with it. It’s taught me a lot about life that I otherwise may never have learned. You don’t know that at the time when it’s happening and only make this realization if you’re able to fully move on and let go.
Dare I say it?
You have to feel your feelings. (*gasp*)
And deal with your problems.
Like really, actually deal with your problems.
It sucks. And will be another one of the hardest things you’ll ever do in your life.
But it’s better out than in. Don’t bottle up your feelings. Trust me, it’s awful. More awful than just going through heartbreak itself.
Maybe you’ll come to find the beauty in the hard times and lessons learned.
Peace and love,
